Phelps County Development Corporation sets sight on retail expansion, hires The Retail Coach to recruit new businesses to Holdrege
(Holdrege, NE) — The Phelps County Development Corporation is excited to announce a new partnership with The Retail Coach, the nation’s premier retail consulting, market research, and development firm. The firm will work with the Phelps County Development Corporation to develop a retail recruitment strategy to attract new retailers and restaurants to Holdrege.
“PCDC is looking forward to working with Retail Coach,” said Ron Tillery, executive director. “This is a pivotal time in our community’s development and retail is among the most important segments contributing to quality of life. If we’re successful our chances to recruit and retain people will be vastly improved,” Tillery went on to say.
The Retail Coach will first analyze the market to identify retail opportunities. Their team will use cell phone analysis technology to determine Holdrege’s Retail Trade Area, which is the defined boundary from which the community draws 80-85% of its primary consumers. This type of geofencing paints a bigger picture of how many people are visiting Holdrege on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
Using their data, The Retail Coach will determine which dominant retail categories best fit the community and have the highest prospect for success. Their team will create retail profile reports and other marketing materials to promote the community to national and regional retailers and restaurants and actively recruit those concepts on the PCDC’s behalf.
