Whitehouse Partners with The Retail Coach to Boost Retail Development
(Whitehouse, Texas) — The Whitehouse Economic Development Corporation recently announced a new partnership with The Retail Coach, the nation’s premier retail recruitment, market analysis, and development firm, to create a retail recruitment and development strategy that will help drive new retail development to Whitehouse. The Retail Coach team met with City staff in late August to kick off the project.
The first step in the process will be to determine Whitehouse’s Retail Trade Area, which is the boundary from which Whitehouse draws its primary consumers. Cell phone analysis technology will be used to determine where consumers are coming from to eat and shop in Whitehouse.
Using this information, The Retail Coach team will then create retail market profile reports and other marketing materials to best represent the community to retailers, restaurants, and developers.
A Retail Demand Outlook Analysis will also be developed to determine which dominant retail categories have the highest prospect for success in Whitehouse. The Retail Coach will implement retailer matching methodology to identify what retail brands best fit the community and then reach out to these prospects on the City of Whitehouse’s behalf.

As part of the development strategy to recruit national and regional retailers to the community, The Retail Coach team also plans to work with existing businesses, property owners, brokers, and developers to identify sites and potential areas of opportunity.
