MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — The City of Mountain View has selected The Retail Coach, a national retail consulting and market research firm, to lead a comprehensive Downtown Retail Consultant project. This initiative will focus on enhancing Mountain View’s downtown corridor and conducting detailed property studies to address market vacancies and growth opportunities.

The Retail Coach will compile a comprehensive report with insights on vacancies, tenant recommendations, rent structures, marketing improvements, and potential repurposing strategies. Leveraging their proprietary Retail:360® process, The Retail Coach will develop an actionable plan that can attract a diverse mix of retailers and position Mountain View for economic growth.

The City’s partnership with The Retail Coach is part of a multi-pronged downtown revitalization plan that entails ongoing, short-term (1-2 years), and long-term (3+ years) strategic initiatives. Mountain View’s downtown development focuses on four key areas: thriving business environment, welcoming space, opportunities for social engagement, and public safety.
