(Tupelo, Miss.) —The City of Fillmore, California, is hosting a franchisee workshop on Saturday, August 13, from 10 a.m. until noon at City Hall located at 250 Central Avenue.
Presenters Kimberly Allred with The Retail Coach and Curt Nordal of Franchise Experts 360 will speak to anyone interested in the franchise process, particularly those looking to become franchisees. Allred is a Project Manager for The Retail Coach, the nation’s premier retail recruitment consulting firm, and works closely with national retailers. Nordal has built businesses from the ground up and is an expert in franchise consulting and development. Franchise Experts 360 has worked with over 400 franchises from several industry segments.
The presenters will discuss six main topics relating to franchises, including what is a franchise; the franchise process; overcoming the franchise fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) factor; the role of a franchise consultant; franchise business models; and how to get started.
“Roughly a third of the national brands we recruit are franchise-based operations. Many times we have franchise-based retailers interested in a community, however, these retailers have not always identified a franchisee for the territory. We do not want the conversation to stop there. Hosting a franchise workshop allows us to present opportunities to citizens of a community who may be interested in running their own business or investing in a business venture,” said Allred.
